Dubai Creek Harbour: new towers by the water
Dubai Creek Harbour is Emaar's master community on the Deira bank of Dubai Creek, facing Downtown across the water. Emaar began it with Dubai Holding and bought out that share in 2022. It suits a buyer who wants a new flat by the water, close to the airport. It doesn't suit a family that needs a school or a finished neighbourhood now.
Creek Harbour is going up in phases, so some streets are finished and others are still sites. The finished parts have a waterfront promenade, shops, restaurants and a small marina. The Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, a 6.4 km² protected wetland with thousands of flamingos, lies alongside.
Most homes are Emaar apartments, bought off-plan from Emaar or on resale from owners. Emaar's Oria, for example, is due in September 2028. The Dubai Media Office estimates Creek Harbour's residents at 40,000, and more towers are still going up. Check what will rise next to your tower, and which way your unit faces.
There is no metro yet. RTA abras run from Creek Harbour to Al Jaddaf, beside Creek station on the Green Line, for AED 2 a stop. The Blue Line's Creek Harbour station, 74 metres tall, is due to open on 9 September 2029.
