Dubai Harbour: the yachting one
Dubai Harbour is Shamal Holding's seafront district between Bluewaters Island and Palm Jumeirah, next to Dubai Marina. It suits boat owners, and buyers who want a new sea-view flat and are happy to drive everywhere. It doesn't suit a family that needs a school close by: KHDA lists no school or nursery here.
The marina sets the tone. Dubai Harbour Marinas has 705 berths for yachts up to 160 metres, split between Harbour Marina for charter boats and Bay Marina for superyachts, and hosts the Dubai International Boat Show. The twin cruise terminal can take two of the largest cruise ships at once.
The homes are new towers, many still being built. Most are Emaar Beachfront's: the Dubai Media Office described a 24-tower complex of about 7,500 flats along 1.5 km as under way in January 2026. Sobha gives August 2027 for SeaHaven's handover. With so much finishing over the same years, compare views and handover dates tower by tower.
There is no metro or tram stop inside the district; the tram runs past on the main road outside. Since June 2026, a 1.5 km RTA bridge from Interchange 5 on Sheikh Zayed Road has led straight into Dubai Harbour, cutting that trip from 12 minutes to 3 by the RTA's figures.
