The original Dubai beach suburb. Low villas, quiet streets, and a strip of public beach along the whole length of it.
Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3: the original beach suburb
Jumeirah is numbered 1, 2 and 3 running west from the centre. It is worth knowing this is a different place from Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Golf Estates or JLT, which confuses many newcomers.
Homes are villas and townhouses on quiet streets, with newer freehold apartment projects such as Port de La Mer along the shore. Villas run AED 4,000 to 6,000 per square foot; one-bedroom freehold flats start around AED 2.3 million.
Public beaches run the length of the area, and the Jumeirah Beach Road is lined with small cafes and shops. Schools include Al Shorouq Private School and Jumeira Baccalaureate School, which teaches the IB. There is no metro close by. The Sheikh Zayed Road stations are a drive rather than a walk, so most households keep a car.

This is an old residential area of two-storey homes and quiet side streets.
Jumeirah is not JLT
Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3 are a separate place from Jumeirah Park, Golf Estates and JLT.

Al Shorouq Private School and Jumeira Baccalaureate School are both nearby.
People who want the old Dubai
Buyers who prefer a settled beach suburb to a new tower. You will need a car.
