Motor City: the racetrack one
Motor City is Union Properties' community built around the Dubai Autodrome, reached from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Al Qudra Road. It suits families who want a villa, a townhouse or a larger flat and who drive to work. It doesn't suit a metro commuter, or anyone who wants silence: Sobha's own brochure mentions a steady hum.
Union Properties splits it into districts. Green Community Motor City has villas, townhouses and bungalows, and Uptown Motor City has apartment buildings. GEMS Metropole School teaches the British curriculum, and First Avenue Mall covers shopping. On Dubai Police evenings the 5.39 km Grand Prix circuit opens free for cycling, running and skating.
More homes are coming. Sobha is building Sobha Solis, four towers, and Sobha Orbis, seven towers, both due in December 2027 on Sobha's schedule. Union Properties lists Takaya for Q4 2027 and Mirdad for Q4 2028. If you buy off-plan here, ask how many other flats finish in the same year as yours.
There is no metro, so most households drive. The RTA's Al Qudra Street project names Motor City among the areas it serves, and its first new bridge, at the Arabian Ranches and Studio City junction, opened in February 2026. Sobha puts Al Barsha and Jumeirah Village Circle about 10 minutes from Orbis.
