Sobha Central: the off-plan one
Sobha Central is Sobha Realty's development of six residential towers on Sheikh Zayed Road, next to Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT). It suits a buyer who wants a new 1- or 2-bedroom flat near the metro and can wait for the keys. It doesn't suit anyone who needs to move in, or let a flat, before 2030.
Everything here is still to be built. Sobha plans a mall with 160,000 sq ft of retail, 175,000 sq ft of offices and 250,000 sq ft of parks and open space, linked to the towers by a raised walkway (Sobha, checked September 2026). The podium park is to have a leisure pool, an outdoor cinema and a children's play area.
Two towers are on sale: The Serene from AED 1.42M and The Tranquil from AED 1.85M, both with handover due in December 2029 (Sobha, September 2026). More towers follow, so expect building work next door after you move in. Check each unit's view in the brochure: many 1-bedroom layouts are listed with community or city views, not the sea.
Sobha's brochure puts the metro station within walking distance, and its project pages say 2 minutes. The RTA renamed that station from Jebel Ali to National Paints in July 2025. A bridge from the podium is to take residents straight onto Sheikh Zayed Road towards Dubai, and Sobha gives Dubai Marina and JBR as 13 minutes away.
